Onyx Performance Academy is operated by Onyx Performance Systems. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it. By using the Academy, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if provided, your name. We do not store passwords — authentication uses magic links (one-time email codes) or Google OAuth.
Purchase information. Course purchases are processed by Stripe. We store a record of what you purchased and when, but we do not store your payment card details — those remain with Stripe.
Usage data. We collect information about the lessons you access, your quiz attempts, and (when implemented) your video watch position. This is used to power your dashboard and track your progress.
Technical data. Standard server logs including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We use this for security and to diagnose issues.
How we use your information
We use your information to: deliver the courses you purchased or subscribed to; send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, subscription updates, account notifications); provide customer support; improve the platform.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:
- Stripe. Payment processing. Stripe stores your payment method and billing details.
- Supabase. Database and authentication infrastructure.
- Mux. Video hosting and streaming. Mux may collect playback analytics.
- Resend. Transactional email delivery.
- Vercel. Hosting and infrastructure.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, subject to any legal or contractual retention obligations (e.g., purchase records required for tax purposes).
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and data, and opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise these rights, email us at the address below.
Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but the platform requires session cookies to function.
